NORMAL, ILL. – 1st Farm Credit Services
welcomes Ron Homann as the new risk management officer in
the central office in Normal, where he will oversee
portfolio management and controls for 1st FCS.
A graduate of the University of Illinois
with a bachelor’s degree in agricultural science, Homann
began as a loan officer with the Farm Credit system, and has
worked with the Farm Credit Bank of St. Louis and AgriBank,
FCB.
"While the goal of any business is to make
money, here at 1st FSC, our first mission is to serve
farmers," said Homann.
Raised on a corn and soybean farm near
Mattoon, Ill., Homann now resides in Bloomington with his
wife and two children.
1st Farm Credit Services leads the industry
in farm real estate loans, and provides various services
such as crop insurance, loan and lease options, as well as
farmland appraisals. The cooperative serves 42 counties in
the northern half of Illinois through its 20 local offices. |
