1st Farm Credit Services is
extending the deadline for its scholarship programs. The
deadlines for the high school and the community college
scholarships will be
April 1, 2007. All scholarship applications must be
received by that date.
1st
FCS will give out a total of 23 individual $750 scholarships
for graduating high school seniors who have been accepted
into an agriculture or agriculture-related curriculum at a
university, college or community college and either reside
or attend high school within 1st Farm Credit Services’
service territory.
1st
FCS provides one $500 agricultural scholarship at the
following nine community colleges:
Black Hawk College, Kewanee Illinois Central College, East
Peoria
Carl Sandburg College, Galesburg Illinois Valley Community
College, Oglesby
Highland Community College, Freeport John Wood Community
College, Quincy
Joliet Junior College, Joliet Kishwaukee College, Malta
Spoon River College, Canton
Send
completed applications, with typed essay, high school
transcripts and a recent photo (head and shoulders preferred
-- with name printed on back) to a local
1st Farm Credit Services
office, or mail directly to: Esther Schultz, 1st Farm Credit
