NORMAL – Michael K. Morris
has been named the chief appraiser at 1st Farm
Credit Services.
Morris, who has more than 26
years of experience in the Farm Credit System, will manage
the appraiser department for the association. He will work
out of the Central Office in Normal.
He is a member of the
Appraisal Institute and the American Society of Farm
Managers and Rural Appraisers.
Morris has a degree in
agriculture economics from the University of
Missouri-Columbia. He was raised in southwest Missouri on a
cow and calf operation and was involved in 4-H and FFA.
He owned his own small cow herd, which helped to finance his
college education and provided a down payment on his first
home.
Morris lives in Mahomet with
his wife, Georganne, and they have four daughters.

Farm Credit Services leads the industry in agriculture
loans, risk management products and various services such as
crop insurance, loan and lease options, as well as
agricultural real estate appraisals. The cooperative serves
42 counties in the northern half of Illinois through its 18
local offices.
