Melinda Evers Receives Professional Certificiation Champaign, Illinois, January 15, 2004 – Melinda Evers, Director of Human Resources for Farm Credit Services of Illinois, headquartered in Champaign, earned certification as a Professional in Human Resources (PHR). The certification, awarded by the Human Resource Certification Institute, signifies accomplishment of theoretical knowledge and practical application in human resource management. Melinda was born in Fulton County and raised on a farm near Lewistown. She received her bachelor’s degree in agricultural communications from the University of Illinois. She joined Farm Credit Services of Illinois in 1992. She is married with three children. To achieve certification, Melinda passed a comprehensive examination and demonstrated strong background of professional human resource experience. The exam covers the topics of strategic management, workforce planning and employment, human resource development, compensation and benefits, employee and labor relations, and occupational health, safety and security. Farm Credit Services of Illinois is a farmer-owned cooperative offering financial products and services to the farmers and rural residents of the southern 60 counties in Illinois through its 23 branch offices.
