Farm Credit Services is downstate Illinois’ leading agriculture
finance provider with 160 employees and 23 branch offices serving
the southern 60 counties in Illinois. The Association was recognized
and honored at an awards ceremony Wednesday, April 26, 2006, in Glen
Ellyn, IL.
The Best Places to Work in Illinois program was
designed to identify, recognize and honor the best places of
employment in Illinois, benefiting the state's economy, its
workforce and businesses. The Best Places to Work in Illinois awards
were presented to 15 companies in two categories: 10 medium-sized
companies (25-250 employees) and 5 large-sized companies (more than
250 employees). Farm Credit Services of Illinois garnered the
recognition in the medium-sized company
category.
To be considered, companies had to fulfill the
following eligibility requirements: - Have at least 25 employees in
Illinois; - Be a for-profit or not-for-profit business; - Be a
publicly or privately held business; - Have a facility in
Illinois;
Companies from across the state entered the
two-part process to determine the Best Places to Work in Illinois.
The first part consisted of an evaluation of a company’s workplace
policies, practices, philosophy, systems and demographics. The
second part of the process involved an employee survey to measure
the employee experience of working for the
company.
The award program, conceived in 2005, is a
partnership of The Business Ledger, Best Companies Group, of
Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, the Society for Human Resource Management
– Illinois State Council, and the Illinois State Chamber of
Commerce. For more information on the Best Places to Work in
