Patronage
As a client-owner of 1st Farm Credit Services, you will experience many benefits. One benefit is patronage cash. Patronage is a way of distributing a portion of the association’s net income back to its client-owners.
Clients who have a patronage eligible loan or lease with the association qualify for the program. However, not all clients are eligible to receive patronage cash, due to laws regulating the qualifications.
The amount each client will receive depends on the amount of business they do with the association, and it may vary from year to year.
Each year, the Board of Directors will review the program. The program started paying money to clients in 2007, based on association profits in 2006. To date, a total of $10 million has been returned to clients.
