What can I expect to do at 1st Farm Credit Services during my internship?
1st Farm Credit Services interns share the same job responsibilities as full-time employees in the major central office departments and field groups. You'll be given real work with actual problems to solve. As an intern, you'll be charged with enabling our teams to deliver world-class client service.

If I'm not an agriculture major, can I still intern?
We don't require that you be an agriculture major in order to be an intern. We're interested in individuals who have demonstrated a deep passion for rural America and have a desire to analyze and problem solve. Helpful majors include: economics, finance, agriculture, as well as other related fields. Fluency in English is required. Prior relevant work experience is helpful and strong computer skills are advantageous.

Will I work in a number of groups during my internship, or focus on a specific goal in one group?
You will commit to a specific group during your internship. It's the best way to make sure you have the opportunity to make a real contribution. However, there will be plenty of opportunities to attend discussions about different 1st Farm Credit Services and to interact with other team members during your time with us.

How long do internships last?
Internships last 10-weeks, which we feel provides enough time to dive into a project and make a significant contribution. The program will run from approximately May 31st through August 6th.

Where is the location of the internship?
The internship will be located in the 1st Farm Credit central office in Normal, IL.
