Responsibilities:

 

This is an entry level/trainee position with 1st Farm Credit Services. This position will have a 6 to 12 month assignment in the Lending Services Department in Normal, Illinois. Upon completion of this assignment, this person will be considered for either: 1) a position in the Lending Services Department or 2) placement in the Field Training program which would lead to a position as an Assistant Vice President (relationship manager/loan officer) in one of the field offices in central, western or northern Illinois.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES (during Lending Services assignment):
Client Relationships: Serves as a resource to Association personnel to provide sound and appropriate credit guidance. Supports all Association goals and achievement of market share growth by the Vice President - Relationship Managers (loan officers in the field offices). Participates as a member of the Lending Services team as a goal oriented team driven by exceptional service goals.

Credit Expertise: Applies basic credit skills in Association Policy to provide credit underwriting originated by Vice President/Relationship Managers. Maintains an understanding of the FSA and state guarantee programs and utilizes the programs as necessary in the administration of credit.

Central Lending Processing: This position provides prompt turnaround on loan/lease processing, incorporating sound decisions on the loan/lease structure, terms, pricing, and documentation. The resources employed will be commensurate with the risk and need. This position performs credit analysis on loans/leases, structure, and provides documentation of those decisions. Processes loans/leases originated by Vice President/Relationship Managers. Creates and improves a system to log the progress of requests through Lending Services, administers the activity, and communicates results to Association staff. Assists in lending documentation preparation as directed by Vice President, Lending Services.
 

 

Qualifications:

This position requires a Bachelors degree in agricultural economics, business or related field. Ability to make sound judgments is required. The position requires an understanding of credit extension, credit administration, portfolio management, and business development procedures. Solid organizational, interpersonal, communication, problem solving, analytical, negotiating, and influencing skills are required. The incumbent must have a comprehensive knowledge of loan products and services and credit operations; knowledge of farm production methods and products; and in-depth understanding of finance and macroeconomics. The incumbent must demonstrate effective team building and processing skills. The understanding of and ability to use various computer business/financial applications is required.

The Internal Reviewer’s primary responsibilities are centered on conducting internal controls evaluations and completing differential audits of the association’s internal credit operations. This entails: completing analysis of the association’s credit portfolio by validating and trending credit quality, credit administration, and portfolio risk; assessing the association’s compliance with internal policies and procedures, FCA regulations and federal regulations including consumer compliance; and evaluating the accuracy of loan classifications, risk ratings and credit administration.

 

 
   
Qualifications:

This position requires a bachelor’s degree in agriculture, business, finance, or related field with a minimum of five to seven years of experience in the agricultural/commercial lending or financial services areas. Knowledge of agricultural operations, rural lifestyles, and credit underwriting is required. Auditing experience along with an understanding of internal control concepts, portfolio risk assessment and risk management concepts is preferred.

 The Senior Network Engineer will configure, troubleshoot, maintain and monitor network systems to ensure maximize technology utilization.  He/she will assist in developing technical strategy for 1st Farm Credit Services.  The incumbent will monitor and maintain all aspects of the LAN/WAN  to ensure data availability.  They will review latest security threats and implement patches and/or best practices to a ensure a secure computing platform. They will develop, maintain and test the business continuity plan as well as maintain updated network documentation. 

 

 
   
Qualifications:

 

This position requires Bachelor's Degree in computer information systems, business or related field or a combination of work experience skills that demonstrate expertise. Knowledge of Microsoft network operating system, MS Server security and border protection, MS desktop operating systems, MS Office Suite, and other common desktop and portable application, servers, portable computers, printers, scanners and non-standard devices. Also need significant experience with Cisco routers and switches, Checkpoint firewalls, Citrix design and administration, Exchange 2003 mail server, storage area networks (SANS), data circuit (frame-relay & MPLS) technologies and management, virus mitigation strategies, telephone and voicemail systems, backup and recovery systems, intrusion detection systems, clustered hardware, Argent network monitoring system, wireless networks, network attached storage devices, and server virtualization technoloiges.
